Alturas (/ɑl-tʊ-rəs/) - Spanish for "heights"
Welcome to the digital heights of Alturas, Florida! We are an idyllic rural municipality in Central Florida with a long history of farming the oranges that become the world-famous Florida's Natural Orange Juice. However, we farm all sorts of things, such as other types of citrus, dairy, cattle, blueberries, strawberries, bananas, and water moccasins.
We also have a long history of local off-roading events. People bring their 4x4's from all around to ride our world-renowned bike, ATV & side-by-side trail network, especially during orange blossom season.
